Fajitas (Beef or Chicken)

Makes 8 faitas

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 garlic clove (finely minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 flour tortillas (8inch/20cm)
  • 1-2 onion (personal choice)
  • 2 small sweet peppers


  • salsa
  • sour cream
  • shredded cheese
  • chopped tomato



  1. In bowl mix together one tablespoon of olive oil, lime juice, garlic, chili powder, cumin, hot pepper flakes, black pepper and salt.
  2. Add beef strips and stir to coat, set aside.
  3. Wrap tortillas in foil and place in over for 5-10 mins at 350°
  4. Cut onions in half lengthwise and slice into strips. Cut peppers into strips
  5. In large non-stock skillet over medium high heat, heat remaining olive oil
  6. Add onions and pepper, stirring for 3-4 mins or unitil softened. transfer into bowl.
  7. Add beef to skillet, stirring for 3-4 mins or until colur is drained.
  8. Return onions and peppers to skillet; stir for 1 min.
  9. For service; spoon a portion of beef mixture down the middle of each tortilla, top with your chosen toppings, fold bottom of tortilla up over dilling fold the sides in, overlapping.
