What Should You Serve With Pork Burgers?

For your next family burger night try serving your pork burgers with easy potato wedges. Simply cut small potatoes into wedges, and parboil for 5 minutes for a fluffy centre. Next, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, before tossing them in a blend of paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and mixed herbs. Cook in the oven for around half an hour until the outsides are crispy and the skin is golden.

Pork and apple are a popular pairing, so try making coleslaw with an apple twist. First shred your white cabbage, onions, and carrot, along with one tart apple. For the creamy dressing, combine vinegar (red or white wine vinegar works well for this), dijon mustard, mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Mix your dressing with your shredded vegetables and keep in the fridge for up to one week.

Can You Make Burgers With Pork Mince?

Yes you can! Just as you would use beef or steak mince to make beef burgers, pork mince can be used in exactly the same way. Simply combine your pork mince with an egg, a small diced onion and added extras of your choice - we love adding mixed herbs, shredded apple, and garlic. Shape your pork burger patty and cook on the grill before layering up with lettuce, tomato sauce or burger sauce, red onion, and tomato in a soft brioche bun.

Making your own burgers is a fantastic way to experiment with different flavours. For an Asian twist on your pork burger, combine your mince with Tamari sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce, and crispy panko breadcrumbs. Layer up in a bun with srirachamayo (simply combine the two sauces together), and coleslaw. This pork mince mix is extremely versatile and can also be used in Asian dumplings and gyozas, or crisped up in a pan and served over noodles.

How Long Do You Cook Pork Burgers?

In a hot pan or on the BBQ, cook your pork burger patties on high heat for around 10-15 minutes, turning halfway for an even browning on the burger. You should cook your pork burgers until the internal temperature reaches 75ºC to ensure any harmful bacteria has been killed off before eating. To measure internal temperature, you could use a Tom Hixson Meat Thermometer, which is wireless and made from durable stainless steel.

How Do You Make Pulled Pork Burgers?

To make delicious pulled pork burgers, start by slow roasting a high quality pork joint. Try using our Boston Butt, and place over indirect heat, before cooking low and slow for around five hours. Shred the cooked pork with forks before seasoning with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. If you like a sticky twist, you could combine it with our delicious BBQ Sauce. Layer your pulled pork between two lightly toasted brioche buns with a slice of tomato, crispy lettuce, and thinly sliced red onions. Serve, and enjoy!
